Joe Kristof is now 81 years old. He hasn't bowled seriously in nearly twenty years. But visit his pro shop in Columbus,and you will find he still carries himself with elegance. The memories are there, too -- vivid and sharp.

Although most people watch the ABC series "Lost" for the drama, action and adventure, Jared Gardner views it to brilliantly engage in complex analyses of the structure and hidden meaning behind the series.

"It's hard to watch tv these days," Gardner said. "Watching shows like 'Lost,' means I have to take notes."

Gardner, an associate professor at Ohio State, coordinated a new undergraduate interdisciplinary popular culture studies minor to help OSU students make those same analyses.

"The study of popular culture allows them (students) to experience connections between the skills and training they are receiving in their majors and the world they will be navigating for the rest of their lives," Gardner said.

Taekwondo America TA is a national organization with member schools across the United States which adhere to the same guidelines and procedures. These principals designate the standards by which we teach, promote students in rank, and project our image and reputation within the community.



The TA National Board of Examiners has developed and certified a comprehensive training and fitness program for our students to follow. This enables children and adults to progress at their own pace and ensures that we are able to meet the needs of all students.



Over the years, TA has established a reputation built upon our standard of excellence. Accordingly, we do not allow any negative, aggressive behavior, or any misuse of Taekwondo in any manner.



Perdue's Westerville Taekwondo, Ltd. competes exclusively in tournaments sponsored by our national organization. TA sponsors several regional and national tournaments throughout the year and invites all enrolled students to participate in these events.
