In the 1930’s, Hamilton and Parker knew their company,
Hamilton-Parker Fuel and Supply, was about to fold under the pressure of the Great Depression. In 1933, it was purchased by I.H. Schlezinger and Sons Company.
To keep the same customer base, the company’s name
remained the same.

Alvin Lewin worked as a laborer in a foundry in Dayton and was married to I.H. Schlezinger’s daughter, Gertrude. Alvin and Gertrude were brought to Columbus to run the company. In 1934, they purchased the firm from I.H. Schlezinger and Sons Company.

Since 1980, Mark Price has created his own brand of sales and service. It began as primarily a wood stove shop in Hilliard, Ohio off Cemetery road. Wood stoves began selling in great numbers due to the impact of the U.S. oil embargo of the early 80's. In the late 80’s the business shifted toward service. The Columbus area experienced growth in new homes like never before. The population grew and the need to maintain the stoves sold in the 80’s along with the new homes built with fireplaces created a need for chimney sweeping, repairs and maintenance.

The Dudgeons knew from the very beginning that quality products and good service at reasonable prices would be the basic philosophy of their Company. And they worked hard to get this message out to their customers. The result of all that work is that, today, North Central Insulation enjoys an outstanding reputation. Lyle Dudgeon started the original company known as Central Ohio Insulation in Newark, Ohio in 1971. It was a one-man, one-truck operation. In 1975, Brent Dudgeon joined his brother, and the brothers worked together for five years. Then, in 1980, Brent and his wife, Linda, moved to Utica and began what is now North Central Insulation on their dining room table. In 1981, the Dudgeons moved the Company to a farm in Bellville, Ohio.
