Master Mollica

Master Mollica has been teaching martial arts for 30 years. He has mastered Shaolin Tiger, Shuai Chiao, Chang's Tai Chi, and Tidal Wave Chi Kung. He is the Vice President of the Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu Federation and the Midwest Regional Director of the United States Shuai-Chiao Association.

Master Mollica studied directly from Grandmaster Chang Tung Sheng, Dr. Daniel Weng and five of Chang's leading instructors including Gene Chicoine, Jeng Hsing Peng, John S. Wang, David Chi-Kai Lin, and Jan Ming Wu in Shuai Chiao, and also with Grandmaster R.A. Greenlee in Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu.

He has competed nationally and internationally in traditional Shuai Chiao and San Shou (full contact kung fu- including punching, kicking and throwing.)

In 1984 he was selected for the US Olympic Kung Fu Exhibition Team.


Master Mollica retired as the 1985 ISCA Full Contact National Champion and has since trained five National San-Shou Gold medalists and five National Shuai-Chiao Champions.

He was the US San Shou team advisor in Italy in 1997, and for the US Shuai Chiao team in France in 1998.

Master Mollica is a former OSU Physical Education Department faculty member who has assisted in writing two martial arts textbooks used in universities across the country and in the Republic of China.

He holds an 8th degree black sash from the Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu Federation and in 2002 was promoted to a 6th Degree Black Belt by the United States Shuai Chiao Association.
