The center is a school which focuses on mind/body/spirit learning through body and movement awareness training. The instruction includes both Aikido and body work.

Columbus Center for Movement Studies/Aikido of Columbus is located in Columbus, Ohio, in the United States.

Paul Linden, Ph.D., and Peggy Berger, M.S., are the chief instructors at CCMS. They have been practicing and teaching somatic disciplines and Aikido for over thirty years. Their focus is on the interrelation of self-exploration and enhancement of performance.

Paul and Peggy founded CCMS in 1982, and, along with workshops presented around the country, it has been the focus of their teaching. In 1996, they moved to their present Silver Drive location, which offers a large practice space for the classes and private lessons they provide.

Starting the first Sunday of every month:


Learn a new skill while exercising! Get mentally and physically fit with a martial art whose goal is protection vs. destruction. Learn the gentle (or sometimes not-so-gentle) and honorable art of getting out of harm’s way.


All that is required is a desire to learn and sign a release form.


You’ll learn the basics of:


* avoiding attacks,


* balance-enhancing movements,


* timing practices with a partner,


* and, of course, some basic Aikido techniques.


Also, there will be

NO jerks trying to “test” you. (If you are a jerk, please stay home.)

NO hard rolls or falling required

The number of free classes you take can be applied to the requirements for testing for the first rank (6th “kyu”)

Master Mollica has been teaching martial arts for 30 years. He has mastered Shaolin Tiger, Shuai Chiao, Chang's Tai Chi, and Tidal Wave Chi Kung. He is the Vice President of the Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu Federation and the Midwest Regional Director of the United States Shuai-Chiao Association.

Master Mollica studied directly from Grandmaster Chang Tung Sheng, Dr. Daniel Weng and five of Chang's leading instructors including Gene Chicoine, Jeng Hsing Peng, John S. Wang, David Chi-Kai Lin, and Jan Ming Wu in Shuai Chiao, and also with Grandmaster R.A. Greenlee in Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu.

He has competed nationally and internationally in traditional Shuai Chiao and San Shou (full contact kung fu- including punching, kicking and throwing.)

In 1984 he was selected for the US Olympic Kung Fu Exhibition Team.


Master Mollica retired as the 1985 ISCA Full Contact National Champion and has since trained five National San-Shou Gold medalists and five National Shuai-Chiao Champions.

He was the US San Shou team advisor in Italy in 1997, and for the US Shuai Chiao team in France in 1998.

Master Mollica is a former OSU Physical Education Department faculty member who has assisted in writing two martial arts textbooks used in universities across the country and in the Republic of China.

He holds an 8th degree black sash from the Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu Federation and in 2002 was promoted to a 6th Degree Black Belt by the United States Shuai Chiao Association.

What Is Namigaeshi Ju Tai Jitsu?

Namigaeshi Ju Tai Jitsu is the most comprehensive fighting system available to the public today. It is NOT a sport, it is NOT an exercise program and it does NOT espouse arcane mysticism or superfluous technique.

It is comprised of practical combat-proven methods and strategies. It covers armed and unarmed attacks whether standing, sitting or lying down. It provides its practitioners with a wide range of options ranging from control techniques to devastatingly lethal responses.

It is a direct and effective system of neutralizing an assailant...before their attack starts, if necessary.

We follow the old style of Muay Thai that began in Thailand thousands of years ago. Muay Thai is the highest level of martial art there is, as every part of the body is utilized to attack and defend.

Muay Thai classes take the beginner through the fundamentals of Muay Thai. This involves bag work, light contact sparring and body mechanics. As you advance, you will develop a solid base of Muay Thai techniques, as well as a conditioned body---a key element to correct training. Advanced techniques and strategies will develop from your Muay Thai base. You will then learn to combine these techniques and strategies through enhanced pairing drills, bag work and pad work.

Ohio Muay Thai Academy - West Side is open for those who want to train at a recreational level and for those who want to become competitive fighters. We will make sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe during our classes.

We take great pride at our pleasant atmosphere in the gym and we respect all visitors and participants as long as they follow our guidelines and instructions.

We invite all inexperienced males and females to train at our academy. Equipment is available for those without proper training gear. Training for all ages and fitness levels.

The Seishin Karate Club is committed to bringing you the best of traditional martial arts along with up-to-date principles of fitness conditioning. Class begins with all ranks participating in a 15 to 20 minute warm-up phase that incorporates yoga-style stretching and strength building calisthenics.

Taekwondo America TA is a national organization with member schools across the United States which adhere to the same guidelines and procedures. These principals designate the standards by which we teach, promote students in rank, and project our image and reputation within the community.



The TA National Board of Examiners has developed and certified a comprehensive training and fitness program for our students to follow. This enables children and adults to progress at their own pace and ensures that we are able to meet the needs of all students.
