In July of 2002, HEARx Ltd. completed its acquisition of Helix Hearing Care of America. To properly reflect its new position in the industry, the merged entity was renamed HearUSA. While still operating in many markets under its former names, HEARx Ltd., HEARx West, Helix Hearing Care of America Corp., and National Ear Care Plan, the ultimate goal is to combine all the North American entities under the HearUSA banner.

Currently HearUSA is composed company owned and operated clinics in California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and the province of Ontario. In addition, the Company oversees a network of audiologically based and credentialed hearing care clinics that deliver the same high quality care to the HearUSA insured members.
