Unlike other moving companies formed by mergers, acquisitions, and diversification plans, Leaders was formed in 1994 by two friends, a pickup truck and a handshake.

The operations center was a tiny apartment (that also doubled as our living space) and the back of the truck also doubled as a makeshift dressing room to prepare for meetings between moves. The days were long, but nothing beat the satisfaction of completing those first 500 moves ourselves (we like to think of it as “our time in the trenches”, except we never really left!).
