James S. Ryan founded First Ohio Planning in 1979, after earning his law degree at Capital University and a bachelor's degree at the University of Virginia. As principal of the organization for more than 25 years, Jim has worked with hundreds of small and medium sized businesses, as well as individuals, to provide a broad range of investment planning services. Under Jim's leadership, First Ohio Planning has grown in size to more than $100 million in client assets. The scope of the business has expanded to include all forms of group and individual benefit plans, qualified and non-qualified plans, investment and financial planning offered through First Ohio Advisors Co. At the same time, Jim has maintained strong customer loyalty. Many of his early clients are still served by the firm today.
