Local High Schools

Delaware Christian School exists to assist Christian parents in training their children to glorify God in every area of life by providing a Biblically based education.

The Linworth Alternative Program opened in the fall of 1973 as an option for high school students in the Worthington City Schools. The purpose of the program is to more fully engage students in their educations by creating choices and having students make choices, placing the students in situations requiring higher levels of responsibility and having students learn and apply what they have learned through experiential education.

The Ship Pal Gi system arrived with a half Korean - half Chinese traveling monk whose knowledge originated from the system of Tae Han Ship Pal Gi. Only 8% of the Kung Fu practiced in Korea is Ship Pal Gi. ( The rest is Pa Kua and Tong Nang).

Mr. John Rausch and wife Christina Rausch are students of Master Choi Young Pyo, one of a limited few instructors still teaching the Praying Mantis style of the Ship Pal Gi system. Ship Pal Gi can trace its roots to the Seven Star Praying Mantis System. Seven Star Praying Mantis is a northern Shaolin style, hence its dominant use of Praying Mantis techniques.

The form Maha Kwan (Plum flower Fist) is the base form of Seven Star Mantis. The Tae Han Ship Pal Gi system is recognized by the Korean Ki Do Organization. This organization is the authorized governing body for all Martial Arts in Korea.
