Music

Swinger’s clubs can be very curious thing for those who are not sure who swingers are and what is swinging is.

Swingers mainly consist of loving couples who are married or in a permanent relationship that enjoy the exchange of partner for sex as a form of enhancement to their existing sexual relationship. Swinging is about being open about your sexual feelings and being adventurous about each encounter.

Welcome to the web home of Chuck Brown & The Chuckleberries... creating great age-appropriate music for kids who are outgrowing Sesame Street and Barney, but aren't really old enough to relate to the relational themes of teen pop.

In a world of "information overload", kids need to discover that learning is an important part of life, and that it can actually be fun! We mingle clever lyrics with memorable melodies...so the songs (including the educational parts) stick with them. As Mary Poppins said: "A spoonful of sugar DOES help the medicine go down..."

The Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) is America's oldest not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to producing, performing and promoting jazz. JAG is the third largest performing arts organization in Columbus and consists of four focus areas: the Columbus Jazz Orchestra (CJO), one of the world's finest professional jazz orchestras; Jazz on the Avenue, our small group series; Musician Services, providing employment opportunities for professional musicians; and JAG's extensive Education Programs, educating both students and adults about jazz and American music.

The Columbus Jazz Orchestra (CJO) presents over forty concerts each season at the historic Southern Theatre in two performance series: Swingin' At The Southern and The Great American Songbook. The 2100 subscribers for the two concert series makes the CJO audience the largest subscription base for any jazz orchestra series in the United States. The CJO now also performs an outdoor summer concert series, JazZoo, at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

The Jazz Arts Group also presents Jazz on the Avenue, in collaboration with the King Arts Complex, featuring small group jazz ensembles and world-class guest artists in an intimate setting.

Through a variety of education and outreach programs, JAG makes a significant impact on thousands of people each year, young and old alike, providing the opportunity to experience America's indigenous art form - jazz. Youth jazz ensembles, in-school performances, professional development for educators, internships for young people, master classes with world-renowned musicians and the new Jazz Academy initiative are just a few of the ways the Jazz Arts Group is making a difference through music.

History

Yankee Celtic Consort's founding members, Doug Rudy (mandolin, fiddle, tenor banjo, guitar) and Phil Franck (fiddle, 5-string banjo, bazouki, button box accordion) hail from Central Ohio and have forged a 20-year-long musical friendship dating back to high school and the Ohio State University School of Music. They played bluegrass music together in the Fish House Band for many years before starting the Consort.

Phil also played in The Irish Brigade where he met Patrick Mogan (tin whistle, bodhran, guitar), who brings his own brand of color and ethnicity to the band through his singing and playing. Brad Westall is the one-man rhythm section that drives the band with his sumptuous guitar. In fact, Brad was elected “Tastiest Guitar Player in Ohio” by…um…ok…by the other 3 members of the band, but we’ll go to our deaths knowing its true!

The Consort cut its teeth at local nightclubs where they have performed for many years. They were featured guest artists of the Lancaster Chorale in 1995. The group shines especially bright in festival settings, like the Westerville Arts Festival, the Huron Irish Festival, the Springfield Summer Artist Series and the Dublin Irish Festival.
