Six String Concerts, Inc. was founded in 1988 by a group of friends who loved acoustic music and wanted to see singer/songwriters perform in Central Ohio. Frustrated by the lack of national acoustic acts playing in the area at the time, they decided to produce concerts themselves. Now in its eighteenth year, Six String Concerts continues to bring top national and regional acoustic musicians to the Columbus area for a series of 9-10 concerts held between September and May. The concerts are held in intimate, smoke and alcohol-free environments that allow the performers and audiences an unhindered musical experience.
