WUMA was created as an umbrella organization in order to enable all the different martial arts disciplines to work together to achieve common goals. WUMA operates like the United Nations in forming and acting upon issues such as Education, Training, Application, Teaching and Events.

All member organizations will act as separate independent entities working together on common issues.
