| Ohio University ATHENS, OHIO (2007-07-03) The WOUB Center for Public Media's documentary "Passion Works: A Story of Flying" and the high school football show "Gridiron Glory" were honored with Emmy awards last month in Columbus at the 43rd annual Midwestern Regional Emmy Awards ceremony in Columbus. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Ohio Valley Chapter sponsors the awards. "Passion Works," the story of a thriving arts studio in Athens designed around the talents of artists with developmental disabilities, was recognized with two Emmys, one in the documentary program/cultural category, Blis Hanousek DeVault, producer/director, and the other for editor-program, Eric Anderson, editor. The Chapter also honored "Gridiron Glory," WOUB's student-produced football program, with a Student Production Award. The award was presented by the Board of Governors of the Ohio Valley Chapter to encourage and recognize the efforts of students pursuing a career in the broadcasting industry. Acknowledged were Matthew Barnes, Kimberly Kanner, Evan Shaw, Terrence Theetge, Anthony Tynan, and supervising staff producer Mike Rodriguez.
